Hey I find my self coming back to this forum once again looking for advice of the smarter than me internet, I hate connection lag and when changing providers isn't an option and the only thing you can you do tweak settings what do you do? That is the question I come to you bearing in my hands. I have really bad internet (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4273175781) How do I fix it? Is it possible to fix it? Why isn't it fast? Why does AT&T suck? (Dont answer that last one) I really hope you guys have some videos that helped you out or homemade tips or tricks. I'm desperate please tell me how to fix this or if it can be fixed. Thanks.

Connection lag doing what? I used to have 2Mbps most times it was fast enough. I could watch Netflix one one computer and such. Most things it works well but 7Mbps would never get that low, maybe 3 or 5 is your reality. Speedtests are starting to become very unreliable I've noticed, maybe they always were.
One thing you can do is limit your computer to a certain bandwidth. This will keep your computer going on the Internet more reliably without overwhelming the network. I'm not sure what Windows software does this for all your software it but popular programs that have this function already built in are Dropbox and torrent clients (when you turn on turtle mode).

Unless you're getting a lot less speed than is promised by your internet package, there probably isn't a "fix". Even then, it's usually a problem that your provider will send a tech out to fix. Upgrade your package if you want a higher top speed.

Where are you located? I presume in the United States, but location does matter
