They most definitely do sell Windows 7 computers! I bought one just a bit ago. Check out TigerDirect.com they have hundreds of Windows 7 laptops.

TheShadbusherFor your price range, you will pretty much have to get an AMD laptop. At that price range, the Intel-based systems won't have dedicated graphics chips, and we all know how great Intel iGPUs can be.

There's an Acer laptop with an AMD A10 APU that will run Minecraft very well. I've seen the laptop record using shaders at around 40 FPS. It's around $500, but Staples (where I saw it) seems to have removed it from their inventory.

EDIT: I found it at Best Buy for $560.

Also, they don't sell computers with Windows 7 anymore, probably because Windows 7 will have support dropped on January 13, 2015.

...But you can't legally activate that installation of Windows without paying full price.

Great choice to abandon the "Alienware" idea because they are nothing near what their reputation says. Now again $300 - $450 for a laptop is not that much. I recommend you get a little higher on budget and get something around a $600 pc. A pc from a brand like MSI would eventually run those games with a decent fps. BUT if you don't really HAVE TO get a laptop i recommend building a pc as you get a much better pc for a much lower price.

1.I am not certain that Linux than run Garry's mod.

I would rather not by a high end laptop. If I only use it for simple stuff like MC, Web browsing, etc, I don't need to spend an extra $150.

Make sure the laptop you are buying has dedicated graphics or at least 6gbs of ram with a processor like and AMD-A10

I'd like to apologise in advance, as I'm not really one to be involved with laptop models and how well they run specific games. However, luckily, all three of these games are (as I'm sure you know) very, for the most part, optimized. Considering using a mod such as Optifine for Minecraft, and the Source Engine being notable for bendy settings and ways around the settings. I'm saying this because I used to have a laptop that costed around 300 dollars, maybe $350. It was able to run a good deal of games, but at medium to low settings on some of the higher end games. So, I wouldn't worry -TOO- much about it. But, I'm really no expert, just saying that I'm sure you'll be able to run these games anyways.
