Drop the i7 2600k and get the 2500k, if all you do is play games. You won't really see a performance boost from using an i7 if all you do is play games. Better to spend that money on RAM, IMHO.

^^There is a good thread about the 2500k vs a 2600k

The specs are ok, a couple of suggestions though:

Hard drive: I honestly wouldnt use a SSD due to there short lifespan, insteal i would go for a higher rpm drive 10k or 15k

For graphics, which is something ive studied recently as needed to buy one.

Go with Nvidia, always go with nvidia, and go with a company like zotac or BFG as these companys tend to overclock there cards so you get a lot more bang for your buck.
I suggest the Geforce GTX 460 or 560, with nvidia anything in there ranged over the 450 mark for example tends to be designed for gaming and you are out of the budget zone.

Last suggestion, considering it really isnt that much for RAM these days, bung another 4gb in, providing your motherboard can handle it which im sure it can. This way you wont need to think about upgrading for a long time and your speeds along withe i7 will be very fast indeed.

What's your Graphics Card and Video card?

I suggest NVIDIA for Graphics cards.

GeForce GT 240 or Higher are good...
