Minecraft PC v.s Minecraft Xbox
Minecraft for the xbox 360 has been recently released as a game that you can purchase right off your xbox. It costs 1600 microsoft points just about $3 less then it is to buy on PC. I have been playing minecraft on my pc for over 3 years since its early yearw of the game. I have also just bought it on my xbox and i have seen many differences between the two platforms. First of all on the xbox minecraft multiplayer servers are not as enjoyableas the PC ones. There are no plugins or commands which usually make servers very popular on the PC. One thing i do like about the servers is the ability to communicate tjrough voice insted of chat. So you dont need to go on skype. Below feel free to post anything you have to say wheather its comparing the two games or if its just talking about the new xbox one.

I love it, I thought mc was best at 1.6/1.7 anyways. And I can finally play mc with my friends who don't have good computers.
ExplodedMr_TI agree with Rvby1.
besides it is not to bad for Xbox, it has a good nostalgia feel to it.
Some people like the old fashion games of Minecraft.
And you could have look on YouTube for game play to see how the game was going to be.
I LOVE YOU. (no homo)
Reason? I love minecraft xbox360 every sence 1.8 minecraft got boring for me. so going back before 1.8 makes me happy
(NO IT IS NOT BECAUSE OF THE HUNGER BAR.)
The Xbox version is good in it's own right and is actually fun to play.
Although it should not be compared to the PC version, because it will never be what the PC version is. Controls are far worse and things take ages to build, since you don't have the precision of a mouse and keyboard. There are no mods, nor will there ever be.........there is no plugins or server mods, nor will there ever be. There is a cap of 8 players local-hosting, with no dedicated servers. That means, if the main player that is hosting the game is not online, then you cannot play the world, until he gets on. Also it is running an old 1.6.6, compared to the insanely greater features of 1.2.5 and soon to come 1.3. They say they will update the game, but I think they have already hit some limits with the Xbox hardware, for example, I don't think we will ever see pistons. The developers most likely will be updating the game, but by the time they get to even 1.8, the PC version will already be space ages ahead on 2.8. On top of all this, there is no skins........there is no way to type.......and there is a world limit of 1000x1000, with much more limitations, such as low view distance.
I could go on all day, but my point is that the Xbox version is not in anyway comparable to the PC version. They are both good in their own ways, with the Xbox version being good mainly for people who do not have a PC to play this game and just want to play with their friends.
Also for the people talking about voice-chat on Xbox Live. Skype itself is a great service, but is not designed, nor does it work well for chatting during gameplay of Minecraft. For this, there is something called TeamSpeak 3, Mumble and Ventrilo. These services are 100% free and are made for game chatting. With this, you can chat with as many people as you want in very high quality, compared to the Xbox version.

Great Points
Okay?
Rvby1 you kinda did
IMO they both have goods and bads. Xbox is great if you just want to play with friends and don't want to set up a server. PC is great for playing with mods and on servers etc. I think the Xbox on 1.6 adds a little nostalgia.
I think on the pc its more fun to play with friends
i agree with DesignCinema i just got the trial, and is has ups and downs... but naby jeb (or notch ) will update it and make it better... and i think its a little wierd how 1 second its light then BAM it gets darker.
Ywah i no! They will update it but i have a feeling its going to take forever between the updates!
Yeah i totally underatand what your talking about they dont have much to work with without lowering certain things
The biggest problem is that the Xbox is already reaching its limit on Minecraft. They re-coded it to not only make it Xbox Compatible but to have it squeeze all it could out of the Xbox. I doubt they will be able to add much more into the game without lowering the Quality.
Even so, mods wont work the same way because you cant really download third party stuff on xbox live. Texture packs and skins wont either, the controls are a big deal too. Basically a huge part of MC's appeal which is community creations, wont work on the xbox version.
Thats why i think thats PC is better
By the time 1.2.5 comes out for xbox there will be a xbox 1080 lol
No
In about 3 years they will have a 720 thats been upgraded a whole bunch like the 360
LOL
YOU GUYS HAVE TO REMEBER MINECRAFT FOR XBOX IS A WORK IN PROGRESS!!!
I AGREE!
Yeah but i dont think it will ever be good as PC
It will be the same as PC except controls and a few things if it ever reaches 1.2.5 :/
I just dont like the controls on the xbox version, the computer feels more natural and responsive.
Agreed!
I love both versions even tho i don't have a X box 360 only a wii so i think there should be no voting and people agree with there votes! Subscribe with me if you agree
My vote is for PC. The only thing I don't really like about the current version of PC Minecraft is the enchanting. On the other hand, these are the problems I have with Xbox version (Note: I've only played the demo):
- - I hate the controls.
- - I like multiplayer better on PC, but mostly because I can host my own server. I understand why the easy access to multiplayer would draw in others.
- - I don't really like the old version that much.
The enchanting is allright if you just use commands lol but yeah i dont like the controlls eaither
Right now my vote is for PC. But i haven't played minecraft xbox version.
I domt really reccomend it bc whats the point if you allready have it for the computer
The point is:
you get to go back to 1.6.6 without a downgrader and probably no lag. *I don't know about lag since I don't have it yet...*

Eh i can understand what your saying but its not as enjoyable if you have the upgraded version on the pc
The older versions were kinda more enjoyable on PC.
Reason: You can use mods unlike xbox version and there was no hunger bar un-like updates 1.8+ :3

I really enjoy the hunger bar because it make you staragize more
meh both have ups and downs
Maybe it just needs more time
sed11Well the XBox =versiuon is in the Beta 1.6.6 update like it was on PC during Beta 1.6.6.
And there's no plug-ins because I don't think you can use Bukkit on XBox. *Etc. downloading something for use on a game like that.*
Or I guess.I don't have XBox Live yet.
I guess that does make sence considering it is the first version released on the xbox.

If not talkimg crap about the xbox version. I enjoy playing it because ots easier to communicate. And when i got it for the PC i was in 6th grade and my friends said they found a new fun game so i looked it up and bought it. Im sorry i forgot how much it exactly costs no ones perfect but apparently you think you are.

Okay, really? Lets just go over some facts here.
Minecraft's first version was in 2009, so your telling me you have been playing it since if first came out?
Also, Minecraft for the xbox is in BETA 1.6.6, did you really expect the game to have everything we have in the PC version? Along with the fact it is in BETA 1.6.6 let me give you a few price facts: In BETA 1.6.6 on the PC Minecraft was 21 dollars, so, the Xbox version is actually cheaper then it was to buy Minecraft back then.
The game is now 26 dollars, not 23.
Maybe you should check out some trailers before you buy the game and complain about it?
And yes, before you ask, Iammadbro.

I'm sorry but the unfortunate fact is PC gaming > every console ever in every way except price. And even then I'd argue a PC is more worth it because of all the money you could save not having a monthly fee to access online and if you build it yourself it's fairly cheap, not to mention the fact you could ignore dlc entirely with the modding community of many games like fallout for instance. That said, this gave many of my non pc owning friends of mine the ability to "play" minecraft and even though I can't use texture packs or mods it is entertaining. If they don't add texture pack support somehow I might give up on the xbox version and come back to pc.
I never at any point said that I liked console gaming more, Did I? PC is better than console but that's a pretty obvious fact.
My mistake, read some later posts and regretted responding lol.
Pc>Xbox
