Simple solution, don't use dxtory.

No it was not. Only in sony vegas did it actually mute it

You must have recorded that video with three audio channels. One for the sound on your system and the other possibly recording your voice if you were. But I don't know what the third one would be for. I recommend that you record in .mp4 to avoid any problems with Vegas in the future because I am not aware of this issue. Is the video muted when you play with a media player?

that's odd, my vegas does accept avi files, maybe something went wrong with installing?
