I game ALOT, but I still get decent grades

Yeah, mine sometimes get into the B area, but only when I don't understand or I'm being lazy (not condoning it).

my results on tests are always between 85 and 100%
and I game a lot.

Lol I play games a little more than I should and i am a B and A student.

Heck, kids these days SHOULD be making WAY over a B. I guess I'm just an overachiever.

It's actually better that you don't play that much computer/video games.I didn't have internet for a week....got almost 2 A's in a day.Now back to the internet.

.... well... I could see her point. Parents want the best for their kids and at least your mom gives a crap. Some kids have mothers and fathers that could care less what they do or how well off they are because of how depressed they are about themselves. You should feel lucky that your parents want to ground you if you get less than a B+ it'll give you more of a reason never to have less than that even if you don't want to do it, now you have some extrinsic motivation.

I understand the rage, but because of the kiddies, watch the language please. And (being a parent) I'm thinking, perhaps, that she might have been talking before she was thinking. Pretty much every parent does that on occassion...
