Recording Software

Does anyone know a good recording software that's free? I'm wanting to try to make some Let's plays and such, I'm just lacking the ability to record. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Are all of these suggestions free? I'd buy one if I could, but college tends to drain your cash quite quickly. -_-'

Hypercam 2 or 3. 2 gives no water mark, BB flashback express, for games the best ones are fraps 30$ -_-. bandicam(watermark) and taksi(no audio but you can record audio with audacity) For audio audacity is the best. you can also hide your voice
