I went on the 'Mineplex' server for the first time, and played a few games. It's decent but I probably won't go on again. Anyway whilst I was on the server, I saw many people posting messages similar to this:

This is a Phishing scam that takes you to a website very similar to Mojang. Of course to most this is an obvious scam but to someone new, this can easily fool them. This is nothing new but I saw it 3 times on that server so just a reminder to watch out.

What if I clicked it?
If you did end up submitting your details you may still be able to save yourself. I was fooled by a scammer a long time back, but quickly logged on to my account and changed the password. Luckily it was a unique password and I managed to change it in time.

wait but on the gamepedia website at one point it said "Win a free Minecon Cape" which looked like an ad (but wasn't) lol

Those guys are sad, preying on kids on mineplex. Report those names to the mineplex website, & get em' banned!
Why do these scammers want the keys to our Minecraft accounts anyway? What do thay want to do with them?
With the E-mail and password to your account they can change your password and sell/keep the account.
Probably to sell the accounts.
these scams have always been happening..just turn a blind eye..we are not stupid people..tell your friends..tell other players..
They've been doing it for a while with optifine capes. Looks like they have took it a step thurther
