I’m listening to a Connor Pugs video about a sleepover at girl’s house, and it got me thinking:
Is it weird to be friends/best friends with a girl when you’re a boy?
I also came up with a second other question:
Are mixed-gender sleepovers weird and/or awkward?
Note that the first question is more directed at boys, but the girls can answer them speaking for the boys, like, “No, it’s not weird for boys to be friends with girls.”

Well I think friends are friends, couples are couples
When I little about 90% of my friends were girls and had about 20 or so friends in total. Two of them were my best friends and we slept over all the time. My parents didn't enforce any sort of standard for what "boys-only were supposed to do" and I think that's a good thing. We had our differences for sure. I was never interested in playing with dolls or playing "house" or "school" like they were but I cared about them because they were my friends so that none of that really mattered, and because they were my friends I had fun. Nothing weird/awkward ever happened between us.
I think having relationships/friendships with the opposite sex is a sign of a higher level of maturity. Don't get me wrong, sometimes one of the people in the group isn't sharing their true feelings and cares more deeply for their friend. But they don't want to ruin the friendship so they normally keep that to themselves. But there are actual true friendships that occur between a girl and a boy. As a girl myself, I was never one of the "girlfriends" , i never liked the things they liked, or more that they weren't as important to me. So i had a lot of guys i hung around who were my friends and i considered some of this group some of my very best friends. I think if whatever your doing isn't either immoral or illegal, you go right ahead and enjoy yourself. Because really having friends is awesome, and if you care for each other it shouldn't even matter if one of you has a tail, lol. Great contribution, btw!
Haha, down goes the 100% >:D
But I think it's fine to be friends with a girl, as I have one (but I think she likes me lmao)

2 of my best friends are girls. (My friend group used to be 2 boys/me and my best friend and 2 girls, but now my best friend lives in California, so it's 2 girls and 1 boy, or really 1 of each since Zoey switches friend groups every day and rarely hangs out with us anymore.)
Dang, that sucks.
If the girl is closer to him than other boys, and he said it’s romantic, it probably is romantic, just not openly.
Most of my best friends are girls, but having a sleepover with them? Ill pass.
Don't hate me for saying this, it's just... weird and awkward.

i mean, yeah, its just kind of a weird thing
I’ll format this in the morning.
Two of my best friends are girls.
I would find a mixed gender sleepover kinda awkward.
