Ok, so recently I have been seeing many posts that are titled Ask me anything(AMA)! Personally, I think that these posts are very unnecessary considering that most of them say "Please no minecraft questions".
I believe these posts belong on a different website and serve no purpose to the minecraft community, and should be stopped before the entire forums are filled with them. So I think that there should be a rule that states that posts that don't have anything to do with minecraft will be taken down or locked.
So please moderators consider that this is a minecraft site, and that this is an issue with the forums. Not just because this is very unnecessary, but because these posts have nothing to do with minecraft.

What is the point of this Thread? At the end of the day, there will still be AMA and AMAA threads, so there is no point to this thread.

I agree with those that say to ignore it. However...
People need to put new spins on their AMAAs. Each and every one of them needs to be unique, not just by the questions asked and how they're answered.
That's just my opinion, and I don't think that this change is vital, but I think it would help.

Me and a few other staff members have actually contemplated moving them to the forum games area so they don't clog the latest 20 posts. This is still being talked about off and on however.

I think they need to make a seperate forum for that stupidity if they are going to allow it. I hate seeing 5 AMA posts in a row in the forum box in the right corner. That shit is annoying.

It's still a terrible idea. It's a chat website, if it was just minecraft then people wouldn't post as much, and people wouldn't come on so much too. Notice how the 'last 20 posts section' is usually filled up with non - minecraft related stuff.

why does it matter? if people want to have people ask them questions then why the hell not. and the thing about things not about minecraft being taken down or locked. thats were the General Discussion comes in. things in there dont have to be about minecraft. so basically, your argument is invalid =|
But if you notice, a lot of the posts now are about relationships and AMAs. It's just getting to the point where to some people, its just annoying.
