Also you wont screw anything up as long as you dont do something reallt stupid, such as glueing your heat sink to your cpu or static shock (just ground yourself to your case or buy one of them fanceh hand straps for 10$)

This would play any game on ultra. But wouldn't be that good for video editing because of the i5.
I agree with you guys, I would have no problem building one and I want to build one more than anything but my parents are strict and when they say I can't build one, that means I can't.

Have you explained all of the benefits of building your computer to your parents? Have you told them how easy it is by showing them videos on how to do it? If they still won't let you build go with Rice's idea and bring it to a local computer shop and have them put it together for you.
with a budget of $2500 you could buy an epic pc, easily with i-7 4770k, 16gb ram, a large SSD and HDD, 750 watt+ PSU, GTX 770 4gb, you hould have no problem with $2500 like wtf XD i spent $900 on my pc that plays any game on ultra
That wouldnt ve a very good build for 2500$. Id go big ssd and an hdd for backups, then possibly lga2011, and no WAY would I get a 770 in this budgetm you could get 780 sli easily and possibly 780 ti sli with still 1100$ left for the rest of the build.

I7 with only 8gb of ram? All the stuff you would use an i7 for would probaly go better with 16.

Completely horrible. Alienwares are never good prebuilts. An r7 290 in a 1500$ computer? those go in 700$ computers. You should have at least a GTX 780/r9 290 in a 1500$ build.

Insanely overkill for anything below 1440p or 3x1080p. If you want to game at 4K while recording and/or live-streaming, then edit videos/other intense stuff this is something that can do that. You can do some pretty good overclocking as well with this.
