Minecraft 1.8 came out today. What are your personal thoughts/feelings about the new update?

I really wish they'd implement the plugin API soon (as in Bukkit/a Bukkit-like API) and integrate it into the server JAR. Then we wouldn't have to wait several weeks for 90% of servers to update, because Bukkit (or whatever the API will be called) would be built-in.
