It can be extremely difficult to make a Let's Play that you are proud of, enjoy doing, and hopefully break the mold from the rest that are competing for the attention, just like anywhere else and it can be overwhelming. I used to be shy around people, especially because of my voice which I hated for many years until a friend encouraged me to talk more on skype.
If you have a pet, try playing while they are in the room with you to avoid the feeling of talking to yourself. It sounds weird, but you will naturally adjust to talking alone. However, don't think of it as talking to yourself, imagine all the people sitting there at their computer, listening to you and watching you play. Keep chatting, no matter how odd it feels, you will eventually grow accustomed to doing it that talking will come naturally instead of forced.
As to what you should provide, try doing something different, like play an old game from when you were a kid. Yes, there are tens of thousands of Minecraft Let's Play's out there, nothing can compare to turning on your computer, popping in a game of the original Diablo and attempting to beat it within a certain time frame.
In addition, don't try to make a "persona" such as a joker or the laid back guy. Relax, just talk about the game and comment when you feel like. There is a YouTuber I enjoy by the name of MasaeAnela and the reason I enjoy his channel is that it's not like SkyDoesMinecraft with his budder and squid, but instead like listening to your friend play a game and having a fun time. It's almost impossible to be the next YogsCast or AntVenom, so just be you, that unique individual that wants to play a game and share.

BE ORIGINAL in your let`s plays. Think.
Just act like you are talking to people. When you see an opportunity to make a joke, take it. If we all worried about what might happen, nothing would ever get accomplished. Also, there is always one rule to go by: Be yourself. I hope that my comment helped. Have a nice day.
Yeah, thanks Jesus.
Well...a couple of tips:
-Don't just make a regular LP, make it special, make people remember YOUR let's play for something amazing.
-Don't do it alone. Have a friend play with you, that way it's easier to do the commentary, because you aren't talking to your viewers by yourself. You are talking to your friend, AND your viewers, which is much easier.
-Always edit your videos. Have an intro and such.
-Be active, don't just post videos every month. Make videos 1-3 times a week!
-Keep it exciting, don't just do a 30 episode vanilla series, then give up. Make it with a twist. Use mods that make your game better, that add things and that make the game harder.
Finally:
Be confident.
Let's say someone posts a negative comment, don't let it get to you. Continue, improve the series. Remember, haters gonna hate, but those who appreciate your videos will always be there to support you.

Urgh, now WHAT did I tell you just now dude :l
To be fair, Let's Plays are actually really fun. Maybe it's just me, but I somehow enjoy playing my favorite games while speaking my mind.
Then do it like whoisthisgit. You know, dignified? Not like he just did...
Always be sure to shout 'Lets Play' at the beginning. lol just kidding.
You probably could've explained what the game was more.
Just say what you think, like whatever comes to mind. See something weird? Talk about it. It's basically thinking, but you say it as you think it.
If your having problems with being heard move the mic closer to your face and turn down the in-game volume. Then while you're editing adjust the volume of your voice till you like it
ok, it's uploading here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3Vgrfkq ... e=youtu.be
oh and after i record the video, i watch it, and it is stuttery. If i render it through sony vegas, it isnt stuttery, but the quality isnt as good. if i upload the stuttery video, will the video on youtube be stuttery? or not?

I got the talking part down, i finished my first episode, i think it's good. But my voice does sound different, so all i have left is a physical problem. The problem is with my nose, it swells up inside, so i cant breathe well through it, so my voice sounds different when i talk. Im going to go to the doctor to see if there is any medicine i can take to stop this.
And to sound better, i took 3 spoonfulls of sugar, and i had some rich coffee. i think i wont do the sugar thing again lol, ill just get black coffee and filll the cup 1/4 full with that.

Just have a sibling or friend sit in the room with you. Don't have them talk, but whatever you think about the game you are playing, say to them. Do a test video where you have them sit at different distances so that you have to speak at different volumes, then pick the one that sounds best on the replay. Just be completely natural and talk to your friend like you usually would. Good luck!
Don't make Let's Plays. Instead, why don't you try and be like Whoisthisgit.
I'd sub you if you were his clone, but with your input.

usually before i make videos i make a general outline of what i want to talk about. you could also edit down the videos so boring/silent/awkward parts are cut out, but i guess that would depend on your situation. i guess you could also pretend you're talking to someone.
and since i don't know what "small voice disorder" you have, i SUPPOSE the more you get used to talking, the more relaxed your voice becomes.
just some theories tho.

Hey Weterman,
I assume you're making let's plays for YouTube. A good idea is to remember that your audience is always waiting in on what you have to say. There is someone there watching you so you should talk as though there's someone in the room with you.
It's very hard to do "commentary" on your own as I know from past experience but whilst your playing the game, get carried away by talking about something interesting or talk about what you're planning to do in the future for the let's play.
Hope my suggestions helped,
- Ewan

ya i imagine it would be easier to do a lets play with someone else. i do talk to myself, but when i do, i dont go "hi everyone" i go "hi me". i hope i can some how get past this.
