I made this thread so i could share my experience with the PMC community, hopefully others can share their experiences.
Okay so here it goes one night I was just sitting in my flat with my dad I was playing the PS3, call of duty world at war if I remember correctly dad was listening to music in his bedroom.
It was quite a normal night so as usual I decided to take the dog out for a walk, I left the flat and went to the park behind it, I walked the dog round the field, everything was normal anyway i've always been fascinated with the sky at night and quite the star gazer so i'm walking the dog just looking at the stars.
Here's the strange part i'm looking at a set of 4 stars, they are perfectly still.... strangely and without any kind of logical explanation the first star on the left *floats* over the other 3 stars and positions itself in front of the last star on the right, that's it really my eyes water as I write this because I know what I seen was real.
Star mimicry I like to call it, seems reasonable to you guys right?

Outrageous/unlikely theories should be considered untrue unless proven otherwise. Although there is evidence for the fact of UFO's, we should not assume or believe that they do exist, unless concrete proof is provided. This does not mean we should rule out this possibility entirely; however, as evidence is still evidence.
Down to what I think it was, keeping with my above statement that I consider it untrue. Don't misunderstand, I do think that it was of alien origin a possibility, albeit a slim one... If the movement was precise, or appeared to be coordinated, it cannot be a satellite. It could have possibly been airplanes in the distance with lights on them, flying in formation, and one just chose to move to a different place. However, you said that they were standing still, in which case, the planes would need to be very far away to appear to be at a standstill, and at that distance, you probably wouldn't have noticed the movement.
Of course, the planes could have been harriers, which can hover, but I find the fact that 4 harriers just randomly hovering in place in the sky very unlikely. It could have been helicopters, but there would have probably been the sound of the rotors if they were. If it was completely silent around you, and you didn't hear the rotors, it probably wasn't helicopters. If there were some moderate sounds going on around, it just might have well been helicopters flying in formation for some reason.
Were you tired at that time? You could have just not been paying full attention and thought you saw movement when there wasn't any. I find this unlikely though.
Well, that's all the explanations I can think of at the moment... I'll post again if I think of any more.

I have a brief story: Every night i see 2 stars out of my bedroom window, One brighter then the other is a very small but still bright, I'm guessing it could be venus and one of it's moons, if not it might be betelgeuse and a gas giant orbiting that. Either way its the only stars i can see.

IMO it seems very unlikely that we are the only ones in our universe. Even in out galaxy. Think about it, we are discovering more and more about our universe. Don't you think it's unlikely that we are alone?

I totally get that you may deny my ideas, it was merely a few suggestions. I am not pushing away the ideas of extraterrestrials, in fact, a while back, I avidly followed the subject of the object discovered near mercury. If you don't know anything about it, look up object discovered by mercury or maybe mysterious ufoo discovered by mercury. Kinda crazy...
Well, there could be a number of reasons this happened actually. It could have been a satellite, which was mentioned, however I find this unlikely because according to you, the stars were still. Another theory, as you said is UFO's or "Star Mimicry" Now, my theory is that, you maybe had something in your eye and you saw a double of something, and as it got cleared out of your eye, your vision returned to normal. This may only happen to me, because my vision is terrible, but I highly doubt it's just my problem.

This theory entails that, between the two simplest theories, the more plausible one is to be preferred. Therefor, the simplest theory here, a simple particle of dust in your eye, would theoretically be the preferred, or more widely accepted and viable response.
But it is really all up to your opinion. I think that there have to be other lifeforms out there, because the improbability is quite great, in my eye, that all that ever-expanding space has literally no other lifeforms in it. It just wouldn't make sense.
And that's my grain of salt on the topic.

I appreciate what you're saying, fact of the matter is it was just such a perfect and well executed movement that i'm unwilling to accept your theories
UFO's are real. More often than not they aren't of extraterrestrial origin, but imho one time out of ten it's an alien craft.
Yeah Satellites or a plane even
More then likely a satellite. Planes would move quicker then a satellite.
Not that the planes actually move faster than the satellite, it's just that the satellite is much farther away making it look like it moves slower when in reality it's traveling at around 5 miles per second. Which is 18000 miles per hour. But yah I get what you mean.
We'll there was a time where I was walking home and there was a dim light in the sky moving EXTREMELY fast. Not like supersonic fast, like at least 15000mph, but It looked to be the same distance away from me as a satalite would be. And no, it wasn't a comet
Many satellites are actually visible from from the Earth's surface at night. It's much more plausible that what you saw was a satellite or other object orbiting the Earth. I've witnessed this happening a few times when I was off on camping trips with my dad.
But satellites are relatively stationary in relation to it's orbit, this object was as bright as the stars around it and just moved to quickly.
It could be the stars becoming dimer... I do believe that there are other creature out there... But not UFOs or aliens that everyone talks about
You must of misunderstood me, I clearly seen this star float above the others and rest in place to the right side of them.
