Umm, Glitch?

Hello, I Was Playing minecraft and something weird happened. i decided to share this story.
i was just wandering around, blah blah blah, and when i went to go kill a zombie, it duplicated. yes you heard me, DUPLICATED. It like Gave birth on my guy and the zombie(s) Killed Me.
not sure if it was a spawning glitch, intended, or a coding mishap.

Never happens to me? And i only play on hard?
Its a new feature in mine craft. No glitch, nothing herobrine, just part of the game.
True, it was in the 1.6 update I think. They have a 26% chance of spawning more zombies after the are damaged in any way, (lava,sun, another player etc)
It was 1.6, but I'm pretty sure they raised the chance to ~60% in 1.7
Oh I didn't know that they raised the percentage thx

Maybe the zombies had babies and ******[Censored]********** and then they teamed up on you and they killed you?
