I am learning HTML code, and I made a website. If you could check it out, that would be cool. http://www.karldix.com

You really need to stop bumping this post. You are only allowed to bump a topic if it has been 24 hours since the last reply.

On another note... I really like the new vertical lines you added to the navigation. You also might want to capitalize "Penguins" and "Contact Me" and since it is your primary navigation it should probably be larger and bolder than the secondary navigation.

The best place to learn any type of website scripting is from http://www.w3schools.com. They actually create the "Web Standards" that all web designers and browsers should follow.

I hope this helps

As I said, start learning something a bit more advanced: Learn PHP + MySQL and make a login / register system.

I'm learning off codeacademy.com, and they don't have a course for either one. Do you know a site that offers them?

It's a good start especially if this is your first attempt. Have you tried creating multiple pages yet?

Ah Ha! There it is... It's really hard to tell that it is navigation. I suggest that you add a vertical line and a few spaces between each of the links to help separate it a bit more and to make it more obvious that it is navigation.

Like this...

Home | Czechoslovakia | penguins | Forum-Signature | contact me

I professional website designer in RL and I missed your navigation

HTML is a nice basic language to start learning, aswell as css and javascript.
When you get bored of the front end websites, you can start with things like PHP which works perfectly with MySQL, which you can use to make logins and forums and such.
If you need tips or any help just ask

Also, can I ask where you got the domain?

It is alright for a beginner. Just need to learn to make your code a bit better. Research CSS resets and how to add a charset.

I think it is quite nice! I use windows expression studio 2 for the website I am currently working on , but this is really nice! Nice job!

I would maybe and a few more links , like daily blogs ( if you want to ) and fun websites you enjoy. Idk , something like that I would also consider adding advertisement but don't over do the advertisement. Ads = you get a lil bit of money if their clicked on

Not bad for a beginner, but one thing you should do is change the background color of the google link "button," since the text is unreadable. The red button is really the only one that isn't a little hard to read.
