Always saw it as white and gold... then looked at it too long and literally watched it change colour... to Blue and Gold...
It's very strange, if you start to see it as being white and gold, then start telling yourself the gold is black.. it seems to change there and then before your eyes.
EDIT; oh now this is weird, closing my left eye it appears blue, closing the right and it appears white. The gold remains consistent though...
