Where did you learn coding ?

Hi, I want to learn how to code with Java so I can make mods for minecraft, I currently got ideas worth gold and I would like to create these mods. I have no experience in Java, I only did some ComputerCraft lua, but that's it. I have searched everywhere and seen tons of videos and yet I have trouble learning, my goal to achieve is just to make some basic mods ; add ores, food and other basic stuff to the game. Please share wherever you got your knowledge from, most probably from school which I unfortunately can't. I have seen videos but I did not learn anything from these by just copying the lines of code and never got any explanations of the code itself.
