Hi, im new here, I'd like to ask a question about a problem I've encountered in minecraft.
The problem envolves the framerate, if i put every "Video" setting to low, like the chunks rendered, anti aliasing to the minimum, disable fancy graphics and all the other stuff i get around 60 to 90 fps, there is some fluctuations up or below these numbers, but most of the time it stays in that range.
Now, the thing is that if i put every setting on high (40 chunks rendered, anti aliasing to 16x, et cetera...) i get the SAME fps!
I don't know what happened, i even framecapped the fps to 240 via the sperimental feature (which is my monitor refreshrate) and disabled VSync.
Every other game doesn't present this issue, i play overwatch at 300 fps, and other games at more than 144.
Even minecraft java gives me like 600 fps.
My specs:
Video card: rtx 3060 12gb Vram
Ram: 16 Gb
Cpu: intel core i7 11th
I dont have any save power plan active, this problem is not presented when i turn rtx on, because of the dlss, i get around 120 fps.
If anyone has the same problem or can help me, it would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, have a great day.

- Go into Task Manager, go to the performance tab and check CPU, Memory, etc, and see if any appear artificially high when the system is idle.
- If everything looks fine, keep Task Manager open and run the game until you encounter the issue, then check Task Manager.
hm... another possible fix, have you checked the game files for any framerate caps? Try this:
go to %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\
Somewhere around there should be an options.txt or similar file, I don't quite remember. But there should be in that file a setting called gfx_max_framerate. Set it to zero if it's anything other than that.

hey, I'm no expert, but perhaps check the NVIDIA Control Panel for application-specific settings? Maybe something got turned on/off there? I've noticed that sometimes the NVIDIA Control Panel defaults to using the lesser powered graphics card. But if you're able to use RTX then that shouldn't be an issue. Still worth a look in my opinion.
Edit: after some thought it probably couldn't be that it chooses the wrong card. But it could still be a setting in the NVIDIA Control Panel limiting FPS. Again, shouldn't be an issue if it works with other games though.
edit 2: would be in NVIDIA Control Panel/Manage 3D Settings/Program Settings/Minecraft

Hi Poseydone,
Changing graphics to any option, but still getting roughly the same FPS, is the classic sign of a non-GPU-related bottleneck somewhere on the system. As you have already said, it's strange because your specs should easily cope with far more, and no issues in games like Overwatch.
For whatever reason, I think one of your components is being maxed out, the first step is to find out which. Do the following:
If you reply with the results, I will try to help further and hopefully, others will join in.
