I am trying to build a clock tower. It has four sides and goes block, redstone lamp, block, redstone lamp all the way to the top. I want to power all lamps with a daylight sensor. How would I do that.

Assuming you meant something like this:
Then this is how you would do it, top down with a daylight sensor:
If you want to toggle it from the bottom its much easier, but was assuming you meant from the top bc thats more tricky.
