I was wondering if it was worth starting a 1.15 world before the 1.16 release?
I’m aware the nether can be reset, but are there any game impacting overworld/end changes that would be worth waiting for?
For background I wanna start a long term 1.16 world but can’t wait for the release @@@@

The 1.16 release should be coming soon. I'd say just wait a bit, it's projected to come out in the first half of 2020.
You should make a world now but not go to the nether until 1.16 is released If you don't go to the nether it wont be loaded so the second 1.16 is released if you go to the nether it will be a 1.16 nether
If you really want to, then start it now, and then load it to 1.16.
Even though I've never done it before, I've seen people load old worlds in new versions, updating them.
So yes. Do what you want/can before the release, then when 1.16 is out, just load it in that.
But I would advise (and the game would, too) to create a backup world in case it glitches out. (But that's more likely to happen if you, say, load a 1.15 world in 1.14.)
