1.17 launch bug
Hello everybody!
Ive recently been trying to get back into playing minecraft and obviously starting with 1.17. When launching the new minecraft version, i get an error called: "GLFW error 65542 wgl the driver does not appear to support opengl" Ive followed multiple tutorials on youtube on how to fix it, but most of them just say that i manually need to download opengl32.dll and put it into a bin folder, but that doesn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you list your hardware specifications on the pc you use?
Also note NEVER mess with dll and other drivers for windows, you risk malware or seriously damaging your OS, only trust downloads and updates/files directly from Microsoft.

Graphics that i use are integrated so the Intel hd 200 inbuild graphics.
64 bits.
Windows 10
Lmk if you need something else

Are you on a laptop?
Minecraft recently upgraded the way it renders and I believe that error was happening from older machines not being able to play the new stuff. Dont quote me on that but I think thats what happened. Can you play older versions?

I am not on a laptop. Older versions do indeed work perfectly fine
"The Windows driver is limited to OpenGL 3.1 on HD Graphics 2000" for your Intel hd 200 inbuild graphics
New minimum system requirments are "GPU (Integrated): Intel HD Graphics 4000 (Ivy Bridge) or AMD Radeon R5 series (Kaveri line) with OpenGL 4.4*"
So you'll have to upgrade your GPU (good luck with that rn, its not impossible to get one at MSRP but its a waiting game)
