I'm playing in the latest snapshot but, it has happened three times now in the same spot (each time more blocks are disappearing), where I go to a room I've built and some of the blocks are gone. Is this world corruption or will it correct itself once 1.8 is released?
I can replace the blocks where the disappeared ones were before without any problems. It basically looks like a creeper blew up, only each time it happens it has a further distance.
The reason I'm wondering about this so much is because this is my Let's Play world and I have a YouTube series running with it. I'd hate to have to start a new world due to moving forward too quickly with these snapshots.
Also, If I revert to 14w07b, will this corrupt my world or will I be okay to do so to see if it continues to happen?
Thanks for checking the post out if you did.

Been playing in the 07a snapshot for the last week, just happened to me again. It was fine until now but it took a bit longer and now it has happened again. Maybe it isn't completely fixed yet or it could be something unrelated to the snapshot and possible world corruption instead. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Well, I've reverted to 14w07a and it seems to have stopped for now. Going to keep an eye on it. Praying to God that it isn't a permanent glitch in my save. Thanks for the advice.

thron3sThank you guys for the timely response. What I am curious is, do you think this issue will persist once the snapshot has been cleared into the full 1.8 version? I will revert to 14w07b and see if it solves this temporarily, gotta hope for the best. :D

I'd think they'd try and remove a bug that weird / disastrous pretty quickly, maybe in time for the next snapshot, if there will be another one before 1.8

It most likely will not corrupt it, as long as no new blocks were added between the snapshots you're switching between, the only blocks added this time around were in the first snapshot.
You should be fine, just make sure you back it up first.

it is a snapshot it is supposed to have bugs
reverting back to previous snapshots generally doesn't corrupt your world
moral of story
dont put precious worlds into buggy test versions of minecraft

It isn't supposed to particularly have bugs. It's supposed to be buggy. They release snapshots not for people to test them, (well maybe quite a bit of that), but mostly for people to get the all-around feel for what will be in the next update, and Mojang uses this to gauge whether or not to keep, or toss some things out.
