30-50fps on minecraft
Hey guys!
My minecraft runs at 30-50fps WITH Optifine and runs at 5-12fps with standard SEUS shaders. I tried changing all my performance settings to fast, but it didn't make much of a difference. The windows version is Windows 10.
My processor is AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon r5 graphics (4xCPUs), 2.2GHz and I have 8GB of RAM on my laptop.
I changed my settings on the desktop too, to make my performance a bit better but it still hovers around 40-45fps.
I also alloacte 4GB of RAM to Minecraft. I have tried allocating 2 and 3 GB too, but that didn't change anything, if not making the lag worse.
I also keep around 3 Google Chrome tabs open while playing Minecraft, but I don't think that is the problem.
This laptop is quite new, so I don't really think the problem is related to my laptop being too old, either.
All of these FPS recordings were done on a server, on single player worlds my fps is at around 15-30 fps without shaders and with optifine.
If you need any more information to help me, please tell me!

Id recommend getting a gaming desktop
Shaders are very demanding when it comes to graphics. Your problem there isn't really your CPU as much as your GPU.
Easy my computer goes up to 400 fps to 300! It's very fast just your render distance must be set to 2 or 10 that's probably the most fps and best!
Shaders; BSL Standard and TME Shaders
These both run really well whilst being pretty high-end.
If you're still getting lag and you're sure you've set everything to the fastest option, there isn't much you can do. It isn't like quickly upgrading RAM will do anything, etc.

Or perhaps a cheap way to increase the fps?
do any of you have a cheap, but better, alternative to the laptop that I currently have?
Something that could run minecraft at a good fps with even basic shaders, and can also run other basic things such as microsoft office?

for 1, u have an igpu
secondly, you have an amd laptop
thirdly, the clock speed is really slow
i hate to admit it but amd A series are not very good for minecraft anything
i had an a10 7700k and had that overclock like crazy with a half decent gpu at the time and i couldnt pull more than about 40 with shaders and optifine, in my opinion get an intel build with atleast an nvidia 960 or amd rx480. either which way it aint gona be cheap

Unless you're running lots of mods or are playing on an amplified world, you shouldn't need to allocate more than 1-2GB of memory to Minecraft.
As for your performance numbers, those sound about right for a year-old, laptop-grade AMD APU architecture. Also, the APU is soldered onto the motherboard, so upgrading it is out of the question.
Short of playing at a lower resolution and minimizing game settings, the performance you currently get is as good as you will get with that laptop. It is not designed for gaming.

would replacing the graphics card and processor increase performance and fps?
Yeah, what is your desktop specs?
OP has a laptop, they said it in the first post.
yep, he also said he had a desktop unless I read it wrong
For recording and having shaders you would need a better computer that is made for gaming so your frames are high and steady, you possibly could upgrade your desktop
I also need to film cinematics, as my build team posts cinematics of our builds. Isn't there a way to fix it? I have heard that my processor is actually quite good, so I was hoping there would be a way to fix this...
Your CPU is fine for normal Minecraft gameplay, however Cinematics are MUCH more GPU intensive, and you have quite a low end GPU. Like said before, its the computer specs, not its age.
It's not anything to do with the age, it's simply it can't handle minecraft super well. It runs normal frames for playing ability so I wouldn't worry about it unless you're trying to record or play other games.
