A Question Regarding Mob Skins
I'm gathering/making various mob skins in preparation for when I can start playing Minecraft again, but before I collect any more I was wondering if it's possible to only apply skins to certain instances of mobs. Like Husks, Drowned and Zombies.
For the primary example, there are 5 colors of parrot in Minecraft. Is it possible to apply a custom skin to only one color and leave the other 4 alone, and/or customize each color individually?
As a secondary, is it possible to personalize the skins on mobs that spawn in separate dimensions without affecting any game functions aside from their appearance? For example, skeletons in the Nether having a different skin to skeletons on the Surface.
Thank you for your time, and I apologize if this is in the wrong forums.

For parrots example question - all 5 colored variants use separate textures that can be customized indyvidually.
For mob skins based on biome - vanilla game does not support such feature, but Optifine can do it.
Here's documentation: github.com/sp614x/optifine/OptiFineDoc/random_entities.properties
