Advertising A Server Help

Hey Guys!
So currently i'm a co-owner of a server (Irish MedievalCraft) which is doing fairly well, but for some reason we haven't found an effective way of advertising. We've tried here on the forums as well as the servers section, but although they draw a few players we've never really found how to gain the masses.
Any ideas or methods of how to get more players would be greatly appreciated! also you can find the forum post for the server here:
