Hey guys.
Could someone tell me what is wrong. For like 2 or 3 days I have had a problem that when I log in to mine craft and go to multiplayer all my servers on my server list say: Can't reach server! And I'm so frustrated, I updated my minecraft, my internet connection is perfect. I just have no clue.

The same thing is happening to me! It says "can't reach server" for every server I try to join! I can only join my server but not any more servers. HELP! My minecraft is able to go through the firewall but i have avast also I don't know if that is causing the problem. Ever since i updated avast and port forwarded I wasn't able to connect to other servers. Any help.
Firewall, check all firewall settings
Now I'm assuming you're connected to the internet because you are on this forum (If you are on another computer to post this check if your wifi or wired connection is good). If you have any wifi extensions (another router connected to the main router or one of those wall outlet things) try to connect to the main network or router. Otherwise, if you have restarted your computer, modem, and router check with your ISP if they have blocked the port 25565.

OK first ignore all that random crap, are the servers your trying to connect to the same version as your minecraft? if so then either server is full, or its Bandwith isn't enough to reach you, if you have turned your router off and back on as well as the computer that is issues, or it may just be that there is an issue with the ip or server is down
There is only one server that is snapshot server, but all the others are same version but they just say: Can't reach server. And then there are few others that I can connect to, which i sthe most confusing part. If I look for a server on PMC and it sais its online, I cant connect, but on others I can.

To restart my router, do I just unplug it and the plug it in again?
Have you rebooted your PC? Have you rebooted your router/modem? Do you have another computer you could try connecting from?
If one server is offline, it's the server, if they are all offline it's most likely your connection. Do you have any torrents open or anything that is draining your bandwidth maybe?

I have a mac. And no I haven't rebooted it. I'm just starting to get really confused and frustrated.

Doesn't matter what PC you have, first step when problem solving PC issues, reboot lol. Restart your PC and your router/modem and see if that makes any difference.

Even though it says they are all down, what happens when you try to connect?

You realize deleting your .minecraft and only back up the saves file and worlds, you would loose your other folders unless you back those up.
Yes I do know, I did backup everything, don't worry.
It will be your internet, basically your ping is too high and the conection times out so I recomend restarting your internet, it usually works for me
but my ping is only at 66

Probably a glitchy internet, try deleting your .minecraft (back up worlds first)!

Are you sure you logged in correctly? Maybe all the server are down? Idk eather
