Can I host a server on a MySQL website database?
Hey guys. So I want to make a public MC server for up to 30-50 people. I can't run it 24/7 from my old netbook because it can't handle it and I can't leave my desktop on forever, and it hasn't got the capacity to run such a server.
I want to own a server with enough RAM to support Bukkit, all the basic plugins of a public server (WorldGuard, Essentials, WorldEdit, etc.) But because hosting is so expensive, I was looking around for free hosting, but all the sites make you take a survey that doesn't even work.
I'm with a hosting company that offers 2 MySQL databases with any site, so my question is; can I host an MC server from on of the website's MySQL database?

No, databases are databases, they store and gives information that you've put into it, and can't run programs itself.
So no, MySQL can't run servers.
