it depends on why the hecc you're using 1.8.9
idk, 1.8 is supposed to be better for pvp
I just hope no one uses 1.8 ONLY. they're missing out on alot
axolotls, nether biomes and creatures, new equipment and tools, better blocks for (builders, redstoners etc.), cool minecraft downloads (maps, packs, mods etc.)

I could combine about 50 - 100 changelogs if I wanted (and if I had the time)
1.8 was the last decent version. Also, he used the word "pvp." That's kind of a dead giveaway.
In my opinion 1.12.2 was the last decent version. I actually really liked the recent updates' content, but what I didn't like was that they changed lots of technical stuff that, in my opinion, they shouldn't have.
wdym last decent version? you have something against the 9 updates after it? I mean I'm mad they didn't pick the iceloger too but rlly?
Yes, I do not like anything that came after 1.8.9. They began changing the game's mechanics far too much and it's become a completely different game. They have been integrating mods without accrediting their creators and now vanilla players do not have the option to opt out of these mods if they do not like them. It also discourages the modding community from creating content because there is no telling whether or not Microsoft or Mojang is going to steal their intellectual property. When the vanilla game integrates someone else's mod, that creator loses all his work and publicity because no one needs the mod anymore; it's part of the game now. I particularly dislike the fact that you cannot opt out of these new features. You are forced to play with mods that you never asked for. When I started playing Minecraft in 2011, it was a simple, comfortable, open-word sandbox game "where the only limitation [was my] imagination." What we have now, I do not even know what to call it, but it's definitely not Minecraft anymore.
Some people will never understand this perspective because they never played classic Minecraft or the early 1.0, 1.2, and 1.3. I remember when the biggest feature of an update was something simple like, "they added pumpkin pie!"

Pillagers are kinda boring in my opinion so I voted for the moobloom. But still, what Dream did was really irresponsible. Also, there are lots of other 1.8 players from the PVP community that don't like the newer versions, which is kind of dumb in my opinion, cause Minecraft isn't just PVP.
I don't love a lot of them so I wouldn't recommend most that I've seen, however a lot of default edits look good. :)
there are a lot more like zoudy phalt or critical 16x and sammy greens recoulors
