Hi. I recently got a shader mod for my Minecraft (1.4.7) and the first thing I noticed is the awful looking grass.

I'll explain why I can't just use MCPatcher to fix this.
I wanted Forge to work but couldn't It never did. Ever. But all the mods that I found even slightly interesting needed Forge. So I found this guy who was giving away a modded Minecraft with a working forge and now I can install cooler mods. I'm very happy about that. But, this Minecraft has Better Grass enabled, witch is very ugly looking. And for some reason, with the shader I have, the sides of grass blocks are grey (as seen above)
I can't use MCPatcher to get rid of the Better Grass mod because that option is faded out and using that program to patch MC while I have forge seems to cause crashes.
How do I get rid of this? It's very ugly,

It's actually really easy to install Forge.
Also, try Optifine instead of MCPatcher because I think MCPatcher and Forge don't go together.
