Ok when i download toomanyitems mod i get modloader then i download toomanyitems
and drag the contense in to minecraft.jar but then when i click on minecraft i log
in and it gives me a black screen??? Please help me!

Scroll to the near-bottom, and click, "Download Here .exe"

Make sure you download the right version.
Step 1. Open your Minecraft.jar
Step 2. Put the TMI files in it.
Step 3. Delete Meta Inf
Step 4. Close everything
Step 5. Run MC
Step 6. ???
Step 7. Profit

If you do not know how to properly install a mod,this usually happens.
E.G Not deleting the 'Meta-Inf' folder,
Not using 'Modloader' mod,etc.
Go watch some videos on how to install a mod,and then try.

actually Audaa presents a very good point. You have to have the same version MC as the TMI download
It could be that the TMI version you're using does not match your Minecraft version.
It could also be that you have not deleted META-INF (located in the minecraft.jar file).

Did you follow the installation instructions properly? Usually this happens because you didn't delete the original META.INF folder.
