Block model resource packs not working?

Hey guys! I am confused about something...
The block model resource packs in 1.8 work on other people's computers, but whenever I go to do something, it has 1 of 4 scenarios:
1. It has no download link.
2. It has a download link, that doesn't download.
3.It has a download link, that does download, and it doesn't show up in my resource packs list.
4. It has a download link, that does download, that shows up in my resource packs list, that doesn't work.
Any suggestions on what to do? (idk how to code so don't suggest that lol)

First of all you need to be running the most recent snapshot. Second most of the resource packs with 3d models are on Reddit and you just need to look threw all the posts you will find it eventually And if it doesn't show up in your resource pack list its because the original creator put another folder inside the .zip the best thing to do is to take the folder out (For Example - Sphax) and put it into your resource pack folder. Make sure the folder contains a assets folder. (The Sphax folder).
