Blocks get deleted on singleplayer

So recently I was playing in a singleplayer world, and I broke a dirt block to see my old computer lag for a few seconds and everything in the vicinity (end crystal explosion radius maybe) was gone. I tried it on 2 singleplayer worlds and got the same problem for both. It only started a few days ago; everything played as normal before. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Make sure that you have updated java.
Try reinstall minecraft.
