Broken World Generation?

I don't know if it's just rotten luck or something is up. Ever since I'd upgraded to 1.7, which was when it came out, every single world I've had generates the same biomes, almost in the same pattern. I am not a noob, I know they're not the same seeds. I am NOT using mods. However, it's SPECIFICALLY in single player for me, as I created an MP server and it did not do this. In the past six or seven seeds with a good total of about 20 hours of exploration, these are the only biomes I have been able to find:

-Forest
-Mountain
-The Occasional Desert
-A swamp
-Ocean

That is it. I'm not even joking. It's starting to really upset me, and I honestly believe something is not right here. If this is a bug and if there is a fix, I would be all ears.

Have you not played 1.7, Robo? There are a tonne of new biomes.

Only thing I can think of is backuping up your servers and such and deleting/re-installing Minecraft.. If there really is an issue with your world generations, that should fix it.

biomes are placed next to each other according to the "temperature" of the biome, if you spawn in a desert biome it takes a very long time to find a snow one.. etc. What you are experiencing is normal.

This. Make sure Large Biomes is not enabled, as this makes this problem significantly worse.
