If you're doing a private server, just leave the IP blank in the server.properties.
THANT YOU MAN all i had to do was open cmd type ipconfig and it WAS different so i port forwarded tht ip and inputed it into the server properties and BOOM it works. THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH you saved my server
but if i do that it wont let other ppl on the server ill try it though
oh i think i know u restarted your router so im guessing your computer got assigned a new internal ip in the server.properties make sure your sevrer ip is blank
I restarted 2 times
i did it didnt work anything else?
something else is using that port... try restarting your computer
