Can't connect to own server [solved]
I've port forwarded correctly, allowed the port 25565 through my firewall, and I used canyouseeme for port 25565 and it says the port is open. However, when I have the server open and I try to join it using my external IP address, the console says I

This is really bugging me and I would like some help fixing it.
If I affect anything, I'm on a laptop, but I get the same thing on my desktop.

Strangely, other people can connect with my external IP. Oh well, localhost for me I guess!

try using localhost
Local host works, it's my external IP that doesn't, and that's the one I need to work.
