Hello everyone.
Let me just start off by saying this is my first Minecraft server but not my first gameserver. So I know my way around FTP and such but not so much of the Minecraft side.
I just purchased my server yesterday. I had a little issue with the hosting company but I got that figured out today and I was finally able to start up my server without any errors.
But now, the CPanel says it's running but I can't connect to the server. Neither through direct connect or adding it to my server list.
I would appreciate any help that I can get. I'm sure I'll have many more questions after this one.

have you tried making a ticket with the server hos.
also making sure its running the same version on both your client and the server
also making sure its running the same version on both your client and the server
After an hour or two of trying to solve it on my own, I just created a support ticket. Hopefully they get back to me soon.
