I'm in a bit of a situation here. I've been trying to log on to my fav server, and I can't join because my connection keeps timing out. When I hovered over the number of players online, it listed my IGN when I wasn't even on. Did someone hack my account? Please help!

The server itself is lagging it has nothing to do with you for the most part your account is safe and nothing to worry about.
Yeah, just give the server a couple minutes, around 15-30 is what I did, and it should start working. If not, you might want to find a way to contact the server owner, as it might be something on their end.
That's tough. I watched an entire Criminal Minds episode after that, and it was the same.

Just restarted Minecraft, and it still says I'm on when I'm not. Must be lagging really bad, then.
Same here. Last time it happened to me, the server went down, so its possible that the server is just lagging really bad and hasn't updated the player count.
I've had this glitch before. I'm not sure about the time-out issue but your account wasn't hacked.
