Can i run a server on a different port than 25565? And if so, how can I connect to it?

Yes, the port just has to be about 5 numbers in total. Mine for example is 26565

You can run a server on different ports then 25565. After setting that up to connect to it put the regular numbered IP ex: 11.111.11.111:PORT so if you ran it on port 25578 (just an example) you'd connect to your server 11.111.11.111:25578 . (replace 11.111.11.111 with your IP address or the IP address of the server) Hope it helped
