CAN'T USE MINECRAFT: HELP!
Someone hacked into my computer on a Minecraft server and ever since then I try to log on to Minecraft and get a crash report. Can anybody help?

its actually rather easy to fix. I had this issue after i formatted my pc and reinstalled java and so on. I kept getting the same error you are having.
All you have to do is make sure you Graphics drivers are up to date.
Most likely you are using a nvidia card this site will automatically tell you if you are
using one and if so what driver you need.

(this tool requires java but ofcourse if you play minecraft you have it)

DERP. I forgot that OpenGL is kinda built-in...
Yeah, OpenGL is the graphics API that Minecraft uses. If you don't have GPU drivers installed/they're not working properly, Minecraft won't find an OpenGL context and won't run.
Guys, not one of you has provided a useful piece of information. I hate to say it, but it's true.

I personally find that overkill. I doubt the problem would be that deep.

Your Minecraft folder is in AppData/Roaming by default.

guestdstry deleting everything in your .minecraft excluding your saves but move all but your favorite 15 to a new folder on your desktop and removing any hd resource pack (like any that the resolutions at 64 or higher) so basicly nothing but the saves folder with your favorite 15 in it and play and if this works then slowly add one by one of mods (try using Skydaz) and it might work

What's OpenGL? Sorry if I sound stupid
you dont sound stupid but opengl is (i learned this from optifine) what renders or doesnt render the geometry so if its off its all loaded and if its on then only visable geometry is rendered like the ae2 me controllers color switching is all weird if opengl is on fast mode from optifine

Just delete your .minecraft or your OpenGL is bricked

(1) Your Minecraft build is bricked.
(2) Your OpenGL is bricked.
(2a) You might want to check the rest of your computer in the meanwhile.
Things to try:
(1) Reinstall your current version of Minecraft. Just delete it in the versions folder and redownload it (and reinstall any mods you had in it).
(2) Reinstall OpenGL.
