I cannot chat in minecraft! HELP!

when ever i try to type it says cannot send chat message.what is wrong?is it my minecraft?somebody PLEASE HELP ME!

Yeah you're probably muted, try using chat in a different server.

Maybe you are muted on the server you are playing on. Have you tried to text in singleplayer?
