Cannot connect to minecraft.net PLEASE HELP!

hey guys, i was playing tekkit one second, then i had to turn the internet off for 10 minutes. When it came back on,though, I could NOT play online or even log in. I've tried to turn off the computer, redownloading minecraft, and even changing my password. I also changed my skin. None of these worked. please help.
