Cannot start Minecraft Runtime

So, I have a new computer. I'm trying to download minecraft. Whenever I try to launch it a window pops up saying "Unable to start Minecraft Runtime Environment. This may be caused due to a corruption. Please reinstall Minecraft." Everytime I try, it doesn't work. Anyone else having this issue and knows how to fix it?
