Ah, I had this exact same problem.
{factions_relcolor}§l{factions_roleprefix}§r{factions_relcolor}{factions_name|rp}
Put the # back in front of the groups under "group-formats" unless of course you want per group chat. Otherwise stick that ^ in front of displayname on the first one by "format"
