I cant install mods please help

Ok I am posting this again since this got lost.
So I like the optifine and shaders mods and I usually get them in a .jar file which opens the mod installer but when I tried to install these for 1.8 the files wont open and I get a wierd error when I close minecraft I dont remember the message but when I remember I will for sure edit this to include the error.
And yes I did find these mods for 1.8
and I do not remember the download links
So if you can help thankyou.

If you wanna mod minecraft. just read the forums here. they will giv you step by step instructions to mod minecraft

Minecraft is semi-falling apart. with all the copyrights, etc. Even servers don't have 1.8 stuff usually, and forge isn't out for 1.8 nor do I think it will come any time soon. I think you might use mod installers, If so I can teach you how to install mods easily .
Pick a mc version, in this instance, 1.6 and then run it.
Go here: and download the right version of forge! (Detail in spoiler)
Now you must run forge. go into minecraft, edit profile. then change the version of mc to forge. You can have multiple versions of forge, they have there mc version written next to them so there easy to swap.
Now download mods you want. Mods can conflict if they have the same id, so start with 1.
Now we need to put the mod in the mods file. click the start button, now search for %appdata% ( Xp use's the run command) then click .Minecraft and look for a file called mods. Paste the UNZIPPED mod there. load up forge mc, and you have a mode hope I helped

Are you trying to use forge? Because forge hasn't come out for 1.8
