Cant load texture pack?
I'm getting back into Minecraft and it's been pretty good so far, but I've noticed that any time I try to apply a texture pack, It begins to load, then goes back to the default textures. Anyone know a fix for this?

Few questions

I'm playing on 1.18.1 and I'm using badlion client. It's not modded or anything just a smp. And the textures are either 1.18 or 1.18.1 I'm not sure.
can you provide a log?
How is your texture pack folder set up? Are the folders in the correct order? What's your pack.mcmeta file look like?
I wasn't aware the files has to be in a specific order... is there a way to tell? And I'm not sure where or what that file is.
A texture pack is folders in folders. They all need to be in the correct place, and all your texture files need to have the correct names.
A pack should be set up like so [YOURPACKFOLDER]/assets/mincraft/textures/blocks
If you extract the .JAR file you want from %appdata%/.minecraft/versions, it will be set up correctly for you already.
You also need to have the correct .MCMETA file inside the [YOURPACKFOLDER] like so

Is the resource pack showing up in the list on the right side at all, or does it not move over even?
yes, it moves over but when I press apply, it doesn't load
It's possible that the pack itself is the problem. Have you tried any other packs?
I recently downloaded a texture pack for 1.17.1 and it was for a customizable totem. I loaded Minecraft on 1.17.1 and used it and it didn't load my customized totem. Any reason for this?
