Cant Login to 1.6 Launcher Help!
Okay this is the issue i dont know much about java and stuff.
And all it says when i login with all my right stuff to the new 1.6 launger is this.
Logging in with username & password
Could not log in: Cannot contact authentication server
Whats the problem ?
Im entirely sure that i use right username and password.
Atleast they still work on 1.5.2 and i have tried every solution possible.
If you know a simple answer to this please comment!

i have the same thing and i cant use forge but i didnt fail at logging in so i undid it
and now im using 1.5.2 for the rest of my minecraft life! D:

Im corrently looking for a solution it might also be windows firewall thats blocking minecraft i am gonna take a closer look at this!

problem is i dont think this is the .minecraft i think its about minecraft + windows operating system. Also it works on my mac but not on my gaming windows pc or my laptop windows.

Did you try using your email?
Yes i did
Click 'Log Out' then re-enter password and then 'Play'

yep but i tried with email to.
i use a mac do u use a mac or pc or linux becuase i heard pc and linux/other ones r broken :\
Crap i hope theres a solution to this cause that freaking sucks
