I've been playing multiplayer for many days and have not had any lag spikes or any lag whatsoever. I recently wanted to start getting back into playing single player but everytime i start a new world it will start getting lag spikes 3 minutes into starting the world and it will get worse and worse until minecraft just crashes. Minecraft doesnt do that for me in multiplayer so i dont understand why i cant play singleplayer. I also have a very good laptop here are my specs:

we need a crash log there is no way we are helping you other wise
I have a GTX geforce 980 :3
and 16 GB of RAM
and 16 GB of RAM
We need the crash log to really help you so please if you still have it please send us it so we can help.

Do you have tons of entities in your world? Minecraft would say "out of memory" if it crashes.
What version of MC are you using? What is the crash message? What Version version of java do you have? Do you have any mods? Need more info...
