Hey everyone, title pretty much says it. I have a friend who used her real name as her username and now wants to play on servers without giving out her very creepable name. Any idea if/how you could change your username? Thanks!

Just remember some server might auto ban you for changing your name, also on most servers there will be some plugins that don't support name changing.
Then I'll not play on those servers because they're run by fascis- I mean, uh, badmins.

Yup, her best bet right now is to wait. I mean, I think Minecraft's about 25$ or something? That's a lot of money.

I think a mojang account allows you to change it
That feature is supposed to be implemented any version now. Currently name changes aren't supported. Either she buys a new account, doesn't play on servers, or plays on servers and just deals with the name.
Mojang has said they finished all the backend code, they just need to do the front end. (They need to make the website capable of changing names.)
