Colors in Books?
Hey guys, I have a quick question.
How would I get color to books in minecraft? I own a server, and I'm trying to write a book with color in it to use with BookRules. Anyways, &<insert number> doesn't work, &&<insert number> doesn't work, §<insert number> doesn't work. (Whenever I do the shortcut to get it up it doesn't appear). Does anyone have an ideas for me of how to get color? Any help would be much appreciated. Btw, I have a mac so I can't copy and paste.

Use color code tags.
Download NBTExplorer, then goto the save file with the program, and open the level.dat file. Make sure you have a written book in your inventory before doing this. Goto the player, then the inventory, and there should be that book item with the normal item format, and a Compound Tag with 3 other tags inside it. Open the pages tag, and it will show the text written in the book. Then type this before the written word(s).
§2
Or anything similar. Works with all numbers and some letters. (MCWiki should have a page that includes color codes.)
2 = Normal green text.
I don't think the player NBT will show up in the server's save, though, so probably use the world in singleplayer, then put it back in the server. Not sure about this, though.
Or you could search for a plugin to use for this, if you're using Bukkit.

I agree.
You can not put the section sign into minecraft vanilla.
You must use NBTexplorer.

As long as a book is open, you can ctrl+v and paste the section sign in.
You have to use § and than a number
